How can I miss someone whose 2cm’s away?
They’re busy and there are many things to delay
I look upon them in love and in distaste
All I wanted to do was kiss their face

But they seem so close and yet so far
I wonder how long before my heart has a scar
I want them to stay where they are
But my wishes seem to only lie upon the stars

There are 2cm’s away from my soul
Nowhere to touch, nowhere left to go
They are my life, they are my home
But I’m 2cm’s away from being whole

So close and yet out of reach
Do they realize what this does to me?
If I took their hand, will they screech?
To my thoughts, I beseech thee

I will leave the 2cm’s there for them to decide
Whether they want to pull me into their lives
This rule, I will remember and abide
Hopefully, they would want our worlds to collide

Close up 2cm’s of any doubt
Let love sink in and start to sprout
Get rid of any light and sound
